For the first time ever, the market capitalization of KOSDAQ has surpassed KRW 500 trillion. It's a significant milestone that is the result of a steady stream of venture and technology companies going public. However, the market is not without its challenges. Individual investors are still over-represented, and institutional funds such as pension funds are still shying away from KOSDAQ. High turnover rates, frequent theme stock booms and busts, unfair trade and zombie companies are also eating away at trust.
